The Alchemy of Terroir
the art of transforming the land
Viticulture is not just an art, it’s our connection to the land. Each vineyard tells a unique story that comes to life with every hand harvest. We select plots with character, where the old vines, high-altitudes and special orientations uncover the very best the land has to offer. Each of the soils we work with imprints a distinct essence that defines our wines.
Winemaking is an ode to diversity. From stainless steel tanks to concrete eggs, oak vats and barrels, we adapt each process to reveal the potential of every grape. The result: wines that are adapted to your most special moments and that you can enjoy in your own way.
Wine made from culture roots and essence
What drives us, what propels us, is a shared vision, guided by democratic quality in everything we do. We believe that good wine should be for everyone, which is why we trust in our tradition, commitment, professionalism and effort to ensure that every bottle is a reflection of the dedication of the those who make it possible.
With the pioneering spirit that has led us to explore new frontiers, we work to ensure the excellence found in the smallest details. The breadth of our range reflects our diversity, and we take pride in the fact that each wine has its own character. Your glass will carry the essence of who we are and all that we aspire to be: a tribute to the land and to collective effort.
We believe in teamwork, in long-term relationships, and in building strong bridges that allow us to continue growing together.
The soul of the process masters of terroir

Carmen Blanco
Technical Director | Marqués de Cáceres in the DO Rueda, Oenologist
“Carmen Blanco is the soul behind the excellence of our white wines. Since leading the winery project in Rueda in 2014, literally from the ground up, Carmen has driven Marqués de Cáceres’ commitment to quality and innovation in the Verdejo variety.
Her career includes winemaking in some of the most prestigious wine regions in the world, such as New Zealand, Rioja, Catalonia, and Campo de Borja. A Technical Agricultural Engineer from the University of Salamanca and a graduate in Oenology from the universities of La Rioja and Alicante, Carmen brings her experience and passion to capture the essence of the terroir in every bottle.”
An essential wine…
The freshness and versatility of Marqués de Cáceres Verdejo make it my favourite. Perfect for any occasion.
A tip to enjoy it…
A good wine needs good company… and to be served at the right temperature.
When she’s not among the vineyards, Carmen enjoys live music and discovering new places.

José Antonio García
Head of the Viticulture Department
A Technical Agricultural Engineer with a specialization in viticulture and oenology, José Antonio has worked in some of the most important wine regions in Spain, such as Navarra, Somontano, and Rioja. Since 2021, he has brought his experience and dedication to the Marqués de Cáceres team, leading vineyard management with precision and passion.
An essential wine…
It’s hard to choose, because every moment has its own Marqués de Cáceres wine. However, I would go with La Halconera 2021 for the challenge it represents in managing this variety in the vineyard.
A tip to enjoy it…
Enjoying wine is simple and essential: always with good company..
To unwind, he finds his refuge in nature, whether through hiking, mountain biking, or peaceful moments of reading in good company.

Alberto Anguiano
Oenologist in the Technical Department
A graduate in Agricultural Engineering and Oenology from the University of La Rioja, Alberto Anguiano has been an integral part of the Marqués de Cáceres team since the beginning of his professional career.
His experience has mainly been forged at our winery, where he has learned and perfected winemaking techniques, from the most traditional to the creation of signature wines, as well as participating in projects in other wine regions such as Ribera, Rueda, Rías Baixas, and Cava. For him, Marqués de Cáceres has been his true university, a space where he has been able to grow and share his passion for wine.
An essential wine…
I have a deep affection for many of our wines, and it’s hard to choose just one. Generación MC is a blend of hard work, passion, and craftsmanship. A wine that combines strength and freshness, while being full of many positive notes. Every time I taste it, it transports me to those vineyards we tend with care and to all the work that goes on inside the winery.
A tip to enjoy it…
To enjoy wine, you always need to find the right moment and good company. Each sip connects us with the land, the vineyard workers and the effort behind every bottle.
Away from the winery, his ideal plan is to enjoy a meal with friends or family, sharing laughter and savouring good wine.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he has worked for prestigious groups such as Chivite, Artadi, and Hijos de Antonio Barceló (Acciona), both nationally and internationally, with professional and educational stays in France, Italy, and New Zealand. His career has covered some of Spain’s most important Denominations of Origin and wine regions, such as Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Galicia, Cataluña, and Aragón.
An essential wine…
The variety depends on the moment and the company, but among his favourites are Generación MC for more vibrant moments, Gaudium for pleasure and enjoyment, and lately, Maturana de la Halconera, which brings him more joy and satisfaction.
A tip to enjoy it…
Give it the right amount of importance. Enjoy it, feel it, but the most important thing is usually a meter beyond your glass, with the people sharing it with you.
In his free time, Manuel enjoys the company of his family, his dog, or a good book. And, if he’s looking to disconnect, there’s nothing better than spending time in his pistachio plantation, where the physical work allows him to rest his soul… and his mind.

With over 20 years of experience, Emilio has been key in the creation of Marqués de Cáceres wines, ensuring that every wine that leaves the winery maintains the highest quality standards..
An essential wine…
I prefer Generación MC.
A tip to enjoy it…
I’ll give you three tips:
– If you can, enjoy good company and pair it with a great wine.
– Whenever possible, taste without prejudice. Let yourself be surprised with blind tastings, try new wines without considering their price range.
– Choose the wine based on the exact moment: whether you’re relaxed, it’s for an event, or to enjoy with friends.
When he’s not working, Emilio disconnects with outdoor activities, especially in the mountains: hiking, mountaineering, via ferrata, skiing, or mountain biking are his favourite activities.

Since 2001, he has been part of the Marqués de Cáceres team as an oenologist, and in 2021, he took on his current role, leading the oenology department at the Rioja winery.
An essential wine…
My Christmas isn’t complete without a Generación MC and a good plate of ham. For a great after-meal conversation, a Gaudium is the best companion..
A tip to enjoy it…
What matters is the moment in which you enjoy it. Choose the right moment, and the wine will make it unforgettable.
In his free time, Fernando enjoys the company of his family and children. Additionally, cycling and basketball are among his favourite hobbies. There is nothing he enjoys more than walking along the shores of the sea in Galicia, his ultimate place to disconnect.
